An irrepressible musical comedy about the love of power and the power of love, Here Comes J. Edgar! makes its world premiere at King's Head Theatre this summer at Islington Square. Running from 10th July – 16th August. 

J. Edgar Hoover ran the FBI for nearly five decades, gathering secrets on the most powerful people in America, all while keeping a few of his own firmly under wraps. Here Comes J. Edgar! peels back the petticoats of power to reveal the man behind the machismo: the concealed sexuality, the flamboyant parties and the lifelong love affair with his deputy, Clyde Tolson. 

Irrepressible, sharp and genuinely funny, this 1950s-style musical comedy is the work of an extraordinary creative trio: Harry Shearer (The Simpsons, This Is Spinal Tap), Tom Leopold (Seinfeld, Cheers) and Peter Matz, the award-winning conductor and composer behind Barbra Streisand's most iconic recordings.
