From the 29th of June to the 12th of July, Islington Square is bringing all the excitement of Wimbledon to the heart of North London with a free open-air screening experience and a Wimbledon-themed weekend market with Urban Food Fest. Expect delicious street food, family-friendly activities, tennis-inspired decorations and plenty of seats to sit in and soak up the sunshine.
Wimbledon weekends
Islington Square has teamed up with Urban Food Fest to host a Wimbledon-themed weekend market that'll take place on both the 4th-5th of July and the 11th–12th of July, from 11am-5pm.
Visitors can enjoy a mix of artisan stalls, gourmet street food and delicious drinks while watching every championship moment unfold on screen. From juicy burgers and wings to handcrafted jewellery, knitted goods and artisan treats, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Since no British summer celebration is complete without a refreshing drink, Urban Food Fest's pop-up bar will be giving away 250 complimentary drinks each day across the market weekends. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, visitors can choose from a range of cocktails, mocktails, craft beers, ciders and soft drinks. Family Fun
Make it a family affair with Urban Food Fest’s dedicated Kids Zone running throughout the market on weekends.
While you sit back and enjoy the tennis, little ones can enjoy play mats, rocking horses, building blocks, hula hoops and toys. Plus, they'll have the opportunity to get creative with free Wimbledon-themed arts and crafts activities, including colouring stations and tennis ball decorating workshops.
For those feeling inspired by the tournament, free-to-play ping-pong and table tennis will be available throughout the weekend, offering a chance for visitors of all ages to put their own sporting skills to the test.
Community Spirit
To top things off, your favourite Islington Square shops and restaurants are joining the celebrations. Expect special offers, themed decor, giveaways and more. From delicious match-day bites, Wimbledon-inspired shopping, interactive games and tennis-themed decor, the Islington Square community will be part of the action.
